1. Tell us a little about yourselves.
Well, we're Push Play. We've been together since the summer of 06 and we want to make a difference in this world.
2. How long have you all been together as a band?
See above.
3. Tell us about Push Play for a purpose and about your upcoming summer tour?
Our Purpose tour benefitted every charity imagineable. We donated our performance and managed to raise $80,000 to date!
4. If you could go on tour with any artist who would it be?
We would love to go on tour with Fall Out Boy, Panic at the Disco, Brand New, even The Rolling Stones and U2! Why? We find that our music appeals to everyone! Although we are young, we are not by any stretch considered a boy band. We are well beyond our years in our taste in music and we have a style all our own, created solely by us. We don't have stylists, makeup artists, or hairdressers coming with us to shows. We are pure indie and we love that fact. We are doing it our way, making our own rules, collecting our own money, selling our own merch AND LOVING EVERY MINUTE OF IT!
5. What has been your most memorable concert?
The CD Release Concert was the most awesome experience for us from beginning to end! Irving Plaza was just so historical, we felt the presence of every artist ever to play there. We had no problems that night, the sound system was awesome, Live Nation was incredible to us and so accomodating, and we absolutely packed the house leaving some fans unable to get in! The after party was amazing and the feeling will probably never be duplicated! Stupendous!
6. Do you have a most memorbale experience together as a band or a funniest or most memorable fan moment?
As a band our most memorable experience we think will be the other night at Nokia Theatre. Everything went wrong with that show. We had absolutely no monitor mix and couldn't hear ourselves throughout the whole concert. The monitor technician could not fix the problem. It was a total nightmare for us. We never had that problem. It was very scary and we all thought we were going to have a heart attack. We perform off of a click track and since we couldn't hear anything, that's like performing blind! It was very rough on us but we survived and I don't think the audience knew. We worried that we sounded flat, that our guitars were out of tune, that we were skipping the beat... But in the end everyone said the show was amazing so we pulled through it! Now, the funniest experience is actually one of our webisodes. It was when Derek got caught brushing his hair in the drugstore and then putting the brush back. The clerk went ballistic. It was so funny we were in tears!!! He had to pay for the whole box. We have brushes for the rest of our lives...
7. We know you released "deserted" in December, Can we look forward to another CD in the near furture?
Yep, this December we're doing it all again with our new CD called "FOUND"
8. Where did the name "Push Play" come from?
We were in Derek's new car trying to figure out how to work the CD player and CJ said just push play. The rest is history.
9. What goals have you set and where would you like to see yourself in a year.
By December we want to be performing at Madison Square Garden.
10. Is there anything you would like to tell your fans?
We love our fans, we remember our fans are the reason we are successful in this industry and we want them to know that without them we are nothing. Thank you fans for always being there for us!
